About PRCV

People of color have always had to fight for a place in our racist democratic systems. Together, let’s build something new that reflects the diversity and needs of all communities.

Today, there’s a critical update we can make to our broken voting system: proportional ranked-choice voting.

The basic idea is this: if a community is 30% of the population, then they should be able to pick 30% of elected officials. Elections that use ranked-choice voting (RCV) or proportional ranked-choice voting (PRCV) help make this a reality.

Check out these resources to see how PRCV works, and how it’s making elections more fair.
